Do What You Can With What You Have
Today’s newsletter is all about making the most of the time you have. An aphorism I quite like is “Control the Controllables”. This just means worry about the things you actually have control over.
A real life example is having 30-45 minutes in your day to workout. Is it ideal? Not really. But is it better than not working out at all? Absolutely. Now, this is especially important for those of you who may feel unmotivated to go to the gym at any point in the day.
This applies to many aspects of life, and therefore is a very important lesson to learn. I have been a relatively stress-free person my whole life. Perhaps part of that is due to this topic making sense to me from a young age. There will always be variables in your life, some of them you can influence, others you cannot. Focus on the ones you can.
Do yourself a favour and make the best decisions you can with the information you have at the current moment. Be decisive, make that choice, and don’t feel bad that you didn’t have all the time you wanted, or you didn’t perform how you wanted.
Be proud of yourself knowing you made a choice and you did the best you could with what you had.
